- Homestead Grey is a warm grey, low sheen, opaque solid stain on oak, with a light contrasting glaze. The light glaze hangs up in the open oak grain, drawing attention to its beauty. Physical distressing of the wood includes softened corners and edges, and wire brushing. The finish distressing includes light spatter, hand padding, and dry brushing.
