- Heirloom Black is an opaque black painted finish, with a warm brown undercoat and a low sheen on elm veneer. A dry-brushed light glaze hangs up in the open grain to complete the time worn effect. The physical distressing includes highly worn edges and corners, and moderate to heavy wire brushing. It also has heavy rub-through on the corners, edges, and across the entire surface, allowing much of the brown undercoat to show through giving it a highly worn, antiqued appearance.
