- Chinoiserie is an opaque black painted finish, with a medium sheen over cracked canvas on birch veneer. Individually hand painted gold-toned chinoiserie accents and landscape details ensure each piece will be unique. Hand applied brown gesso glaze mutes the gold embellishments while highlighting the cracks in the canvas creating a time -worn vintage effect.
