- Pekoe is a cool, deep mocha, semi-transparent stain, with a medium sheen allowing the natural maple grain to show through. Distressing is visible both at the wood level and on the finish layer: the wood displays softened corners and edges, light random peck marks, and subtle random rasping; the upper layer has minimal cow tailing and very subtle spatter.
