Trompe l'oeil is French for "trick of the eye"—you may know if from the world of painting, where the technique is used to create the illusion of depth. We think this midcentury-modern-style table lamp is trompe l'oeil in its own way. It looks, even up close, like a mix of materials (stone, granite, and quartz), with a strong midcentury influence visible in its slender, cinched-waist base and wide white linen shade. In fact, Lamonta is cast of resin. It's lightweight but durable—and easy on your budget, too.
